Hi, I'm

Jeanne Clevenger

Even though we haven't worked together yet, I bet I know a few things about you...

  • As a postpartum mom, you are feeling “out of control” and disoriented with the unpredictability of your daily life, struggling to juggle everything. You used to be able to keep up with daily demands, making plans and checking off your to-do list. But now, you don’t even know when you can shower.
  • You want to get this motherhood thing right and constantly strive for perfection by researching everything and comparing yourself to other moms on Instagram who make it look so easy. Deep down though, you wonder why mothering is so difficult and fear that you are failing miserably. You are used to excelling and achieving your goals, but this postpartum life is making you self-doubt your abilities and skills.
  • You don’t feel like yourself anymore. You are running on fumes, your mind is foggy, and your whole life has become about diapers and feeding schedules. You miss your freedom, miss quality time with your spouse, miss your social life, and even miss your job. To top it off, you also feel guilty for missing those parts of you from “before.”
  • You are afraid to add work back into the mix. You are barely keeping up with the baby now, and cannot imagine shifting into your professional self again. What if you can’t handle it all? How do you be a good mom and a good wife and a good friend and a good worker all at the same time? Is that even possible?

You’re Not Alone…. And There’s A Better Way!

  • You achieve the sense of balance you've been looking for in all your life roles: mom, wife, professional, friend, etc.
  • You stop "doing it all" in order to feel confident and competent in these roles; rather you are focused on living congruently with your values and unique process of becoming a mother.
  • You have learned to accept the inherent imperfections and messiness of this stage of life, in order to find joy and fulfillment as a working mom.
  • You have a set of practical strategies for managing all the overwhelming feelings that come with new motherhood. You have been tired of “go with the flow” or “trust your instincts” advice, and now have real coping tools to help you face any stressor that comes your way.
  • You establish a strong, secure bond with your baby, while also not losing yourself in the process. You know you are a good mom AND excel in your career – all guilt free!
  • You maintain a strong connection and partnership with your spouse, as you figure out new parenthood together.
  • You are mentally ready to reintegrate work back into your life as a new mom, developing a clear plan that tells you what to focus on and how to achieve the balance you desire.
  • You have identified and communicated clear boundaries around your time, energy, and priorities.
  • You have stopped comparing yourself to other moms around you, finding instead your own sense of mastery over motherhood and work, thereby eliminating self-doubt and fear of failure.
  • You are no longer feeling isolated and unseen in your postpartum bubble. Rather, you belong to a supportive community of other like-minded new moms who are also struggling to return to the workplace.
  • You can rest assured knowing you have relied on expert insights and proven frameworks – by an experienced but relatable professional mom! – to successfully transition you back into the workplace.

Let me introduce

My Background

At the beginning of my career as a psychologist, I primarily worked with children. After becoming a mother myself and experiencing perinatal depression and anxiety around each birth, I found it increasingly impossible to return to my job in the same capacity as before.

For one thing, the insecurities and self-doubt I was experiencing as a new mom made me feel like an imposter when I worked with other people's children.

Secondly, the over-achieving perfectionist in me set a standard too high for me to ever feel "good enough" as either a mom or a psychologist.

I couldn't see how I could possibly ever have the best of both worlds as a working mother.
